WELCOME TO THE WCNA WEBSITE
Wiltshire is home to a thriving netball community with a high volume of successful senior and junior clubs. We pride ourselves on the range of opportunities that are available to support netballers who are new to the game, returners, fun lovers or elite athletes. We are in an exciting era with the success of the National team and the raised profile of netball worldwide.
We actively support aspiring umpires and coaches across the county and encourage you to register with England Netball so that you will receive timely alerts about available courses.
Club Netball in Wiltshire mainly takes place in three locations, Swindon (SDNA League) Devizes (Moonraker League) and Salisbury, (Salisbury League) although club training locations are spread throughout those locations and the county.
Between Back to Netball, Netball Now and Walking Netball groups, there really is something for everyone no matter your age, ability or motivation.
Many clubs in the county off Junior netball for players 11-13 years of age and Bee Netball players as young as five years of age.
You can find a full list of clubs registered in Wiltshire by visiting Leagues
Guidance:
- If you’re an adult 18 to 49 years, wanting flexibility and an opportunity to play when you’re available, we'd recommend joining a Netball Now session. Please note the sessions are only suitable for players who are familiar with the game.
- If you are an adult 18 to 49 years and are looking for a gentle introduction and an opportunity to meet new people, we would recommend joining our Back to Netball group.
- If you are an adult of 50+ years and are looking to keep active and socialise, we would recommend joining a Netball group. However, if you are already familiar with netball, very active and want more challenges, try Back to Netball.
- If you are a parent/carer looking for a netball club for your child, either 5 to 11 years or 11+ years, please contact Anna Young, Wiltshire Netball Development Officer who can recommend the right club for your needs. Please note that there is often a waiting list due to high demand. Anna also runs Netball Youth Camps 1 to 3 days in the school holidays for under 11s and 11 to 14-year-olds. For more information contact Anna or for a list of the camps currently scheduled click here.
- Trans Inclusion Guidance: The development of EN’s new Gender Policy is still ongoing. This is a complex topic, and while England Netball has made progress at the performance level following World Netball publishing their policy for international competition earlier this year, England Netball is still working through what inclusion looks like at grassroots. Current guidance will remain in place for this season (2024-2025) but with some minor amendments to align to Sports Council guidance. Work will continue on the new EN Gender Policy that will be introduced ahead of the 2025-2026 season.
We look forward to working in partnership with you and enhancing netball opportunities across the county.

The countdown is officially ON! The stage is set at the iconic OVO Hydro for what promises to be the most explosive Netball competition in Commonwealth Games history. From July 25th to August 2nd, 2026, twelve of the world’s elite nations will go head-to-head in a nine-day sprint for the gold.
Here’s why the "Glasgow Roar" is about to be louder than ever:
🔥 The Heavyweights: World #1 Australia and historic rivals England are locked in for a Pool A blockbuster, while Pool B features a mouth-watering clash between New Zealand and the "Sunshine Girls" of Jamaica.
🏴 Home Advantage: The Scottish Thistles kick things off in the opening match against the Silver Ferns. Expect an electric atmosphere that only a Glasgow crowd can provide!
🌍 Global Talent: With emerging powerhouses like Tonga making their historic debut and the speed of Uganda and South Africa in the mix, every second of the 15-minute quarters will be pure adrenaline.
This isn’t just a tournament; it’s a celebration of the speed, precision, and world-class athleticism that makes our game the heart of the Games. No matter which flag you’re waving, the level of competition is going to be second to none.
